Eric Kukulakukula@purdue.eduEric Kukula is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Industrial Technology, researching biometrics. He has been involved with biometrics for over 4 years, conducting research in face, hand, and fingerprint modalities. Over the last year Eric has managed teams of 7 for three studies: 2 - two hundred person technology/scenario tests and an operational evaluation of hand geometry at the Purdue RSC that involved over 300 participants. His Ph.D. research examines the HBSI, or Human Biometric Sensor Interaction, addressing how users interact and performance differences with an ergonomically designed fingerprint device and commercially available devices. Eric is currently an NSF / Purdue Discovery Learning Center GK12 Fellow for the 2006-07 year. |
Shimon Modishimon@purdue.eduShimon Modi is a Ph.D. student in Technology with a specialization in Computational Sciences and Engineering. He has been involved in biometrics for over 3 years and has a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, and an MS degree in Technology, with a specialization in Information Security from Purdue's Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS). His research interests include statistical testing of biometric systems, distributed authentication architectures and use of biometrics in federated identity management systems. |
