Purdue University Airport
This research is being led by Renee Hendricks and Dr. Elliott
The Purdue University airport is located on the main campus at West Lafayette, IN. Post 9/11, the airline industry was impacted by new additional security rules and regulations. The rationale behind working with the airport is to provide aviation technology students in the various majors information about a biometric device.
The research conducted at the airport included an evaluation of face recogition over a period of months, using the airport as a case study in site evaluation, and providing aviation technology students with exposure to biometrics and their potential uses within their environment.
